60xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Selected by Marcel Mule
Here’s your chance to own a Selmer Mark VI made in 1955, the second year in the making of the longest-produced model in the company’s history. As a matter of fact, it was among the 300 Selmer horns selected by Marcel Mule, the architect of the Mark VI, himself, according to Selmer historian Douglas Pipher:
“Selmer 60315 is a French-market Mark VI Tenor which shipped from Selmer Paris in October 1955. It was selected by Marcel Mule and presumably sold to one of his students or someone connected to him. There are roughly 300 Selmer saxophones which are listed as having been selected by Marcel Mule.”
Physically, the horn has some honest wear as seen in the pictures but no neck pull-down, resoldered spots, or any major issues. In fact, the horn had been overhauled before I got it, and my tech took care of leaks that arosed during shipment so it’s now in top playing condition.
The price is $10,999 which includes FREE shipping in continental USA. For more information, call or text (858) 568-5443.
